100 year old pine became a 13 1/2' wide and 9 1/2' high audio visual cabinet. The bi-fold retractable doors cover a 60" flat screen TV, and the lower doors accomodate all accompanying AV equipment with full consideration given to wire routing as well as ventilation for heat control. The two side units with restoration glass will have a touch controlled lighting system installed to highlight and display the owners various artifacts. |

| The Tuscan styled molding gives the piece substantial visual weight and proportion. The finish was a multi-stepped process to compliment the natural color and control pitch problems associated with old pine: two coats of amber shellac, two coats sanding sealer, one glaze coat to moderate the color differences in the wood and accentuate the depth of molding contours, on top of which a final coat of clear laquer was applied. Time and natural light will continue to warm this color with an aged glow. |

| As saplings grow in the forest, so these doors reflect such natural curved grace. Designed and fabricated by Ann Cowperthwaite for the home she shares with her husband, Mike Parker, both of Eidolon Designs. |

| At 8' high x 2'3" wide x 1 5/8" thick, these hanging doors move nearly silently along the 10' track. |

| A simply articulated vanity of Tiger maple solids and veneers, designed to fit an unusual space and finished to accentuate the highly figured grain. |

| This design concept was delivered to us, so our larger task was to specifically match the finish of an existing piece of furniture in the same bathroom. This finish was dark, rich and clear, and was produced with wax, which will not hold up well in an environment as humid as a bathroom, as it turns white over time (we are always focused on longevity). Using white oak, with its deep and open pores, we were able to apply a combination of deep stains, and then finish with a clear catalyzed lacquer for a stain that nearly perfectly reflected the depth and sheen of the older piece. |

| This piece is the result of the clients request for a chest to house fine family linens. Eidolon understood that not any cabinet would do, so we blended a sense of the traditional with contemporary design. Side curves joining into front curves (referred to as "double bent" in the furniture industry) are the special feature of this piece. All cherry veneers, with solid top, beaded drawers, hand-carved splash and feet, and a distressed surface for the antique look. 2'8" (h) x 4' (w) x 1'4" (d) |

Three companies worked together to create this 5' x 5' antiqued dining room mirror. Project coordination, moldings, assembly and installation by Eidolon Designs; carving design and execution by John Flannagon Woodcarving; finish by Vincent Puszynski Decorative Painting. We thank our client for her willingness to risk the venture of contracting for a truly one-of-a-kind mirror which completes her dining space with a touch of grace and grandeur. |

The Dilwig Companies, Inc., contracted with Cherry Huffman Architects to design their new, state-of-the-art office space in Durnam, NC. They contracted with Eidolon Designs to engineer, fabricate, and install their reception desk as well as 15 office cubicles. We loved the concept and presentation of materials, as well as the opportunity to preform the task. Steel tubing, perforated steel, MDF (used as a finish surface) cherry veneer, glass, and facated lexan (on cubicles). 13' 6" (w) x 3' 6" (h) x 36" (d) |

Used to house a television, this piece is the pure transformation of the wood from a single walnut tree to a piece of fine furniture. It is air-dried with a single board on top, tambour doors in center, and curved doors on sides; each with handmade pivot hinges and carved, inset handles. The rich color is completely natural. |

How do you create a conference table that proves that meetings can be fun? The answer: Eidolons version of the r+m creative "thinking eye" logo, large enough to seat 10 quite comfortably and highlighted in maple and cherry veneers. Solid maple edge-banding and a maple/cherry trestle with panel leg system complete the piece. There is more to come in this room. We are now designing a coordinating curved maple credenza and maple Smart Board cabinet to complete the setting. 10' (L) x 4'6" (w) x 2'4" (h) |

| The owner of Belly Blossom, a shop for expectant mothers located in Durham, NC, had a very clear idea of the look and function of the reception/cash desk for her new store. Working closely with the client, Eidolon Designs helped identify the proper proportions, materials, interior structure and sectioning for optimum functionality of the piece. The play of horizontal and vertical grain patterns of walnut veneer along with the convex and concave curve make this a totally unique retail piece. |
|
| Eclectic in design and used on a daily basis, both pieces were designed to withstand hard and loving wear. The table is built mainly from recycled materials; old pine flooring planks were re-sawn and turned to make this wonderfully comfortable dining table. It is set alongside a custom cherry credenza, both designed and fabricated by Eidolon Designs. |

| Made of solid cherry and cherry veneers, this piece appears to be a formal china cabinet at first glance, but actually houses a flat screen TV and home entertainment system. The graceful custom crown molding profile was designed exclusively by Eidolon; the cross banding on upper doors is placed on French Antiqued mirrored glass; the European Iron Fiche hinges add to the detail of the piece. |
|
| The interior has both fixed and adjustable shelving to accommodate the electronic components as well as providing flexible storage and includes a pullout drawer of accessory storage. This is another successful collaboration of Eidolon Designs and Design Lines, LTD. of Raleigh, NC. |

Music Credenza This piece was commissioned by a family of musicians, who were looking for a mixed media piece to hold three violas, lots of sheet music, and the accoutrements that accompany the instrument. Birdseye Maple, 1/2" steel rod, 1/2" x 1 1/4" steel bar stock, steel drawer pulls, and Carolina Blue Slate 60" x 22" x 30" |

| A perfect fit in the client's new home, this vanity features a bottom-lit crystal bowl, designer faucets, and a granite top.
